Inlays

An inlay is a custom-made filling that is used to restore a tooth that has been damaged by decay or injury. It is similar to a filling, but it is made in a dental laboratory and is typically made of materials such as gold, porcelain, or composite resin. The inlay is then bonded or cemented onto the tooth to restore its shape, strength and function. An inlay is used when the decay or damage to a tooth is too extensive for a filling, but not severe enough to warrant a crown. Unlike fillings, inlays do not have to be adjusted or reshaped after placement, and they can last for many years with proper care and maintenance.
