Occlusion

Dental occlusion refers to the way the upper and lower teeth come together when biting and chewing. It includes the relationship between the upper and lower teeth, and how they make contact with each other. A proper occlusion, also called a "bite," ensures that the teeth meet evenly and function correctly. An improper occlusion, known as a malocclusion, can result in uneven wear of the teeth, headaches, and jaw pain. In simple terms, dental occlusion is the way the upper and lower teeth come together when biting and chewing and it's important for the teeth to meet properly to ensure proper function and avoid pain and discomfort.
