Sealants

A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the grooves of the back teeth (premolars and molars) to prevent tooth decay. The sealant forms a barrier that keeps out plaque and food, reducing the risk of cavities in these teeth. Sealants can last several years and are often used in children and teenagers to protect the teeth during the cavity-prone years.
